Brown Sugar Glazed Ham
Sweet and smoky glazed ham — the holiday centerpiece your table has been waiting for.
Ingredients
- 1 Kentucky Legend Quarter Sliced Ham (Brown Sugar variety)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
For garnish
- Whole cloves (optional)
- Maraschino cherries (optional)
Directions
- 1 Preheat your oven to 325°F. Place ham in a shallow roasting pan, cut side down.
- 2 In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and cloves over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves and glaze is smooth, about 3 minutes.
- 3 Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern about 1/4 inch deep. If desired, stud with whole cloves at intersections.
- 4 Brush half of the glaze generously over the ham, getting into the scored cuts.
- 5 Bake for 15 minutes, then brush with remaining glaze. Return to oven for another 10 minutes until glaze is caramelized and bubbling.
- 6 Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with any remaining glaze drizzled on top.
